Should preachers take on the same “spotlight” status as a celebrity? There are many mega churches with thousands of people whose preachers are lead around with body guards, limos, etc - celebrity status.
Yes, it is a form of spreading the gospel, and we should not presume to know anyones heart. There are those whose millions truly do go to missions and world aid, but most mega church preachers charge 15-25K just to visit and preach at your church.
If you are a small church, they may not even give you the time of day.
Thoughts? Is this right or wrong?
We must be silent before we can listen
We must listen before we can learn
We must learn before we can prepare
We must prepare before we can serve
We must serve before we can lead

I believe the preachers of mega churches definitely should not take on celebrity status or anything resembling any type of celebrity status. While it’s so very true we cannot presume to know their hearts or any person’s heart, I believe the preachers of the mega churches need to be much more humble, they need to follow the the examples set forth by Jesus Christ.
While it’s a great blessing there are those who truly do give away millions of dollars to help the poor, feed the hungry, house the homeless, help those who are ill, I believe it’s just wrong of them to charge such huge exorbitant amounts of money to preach at another mega church. I believe it’s just very wrong of them to ignore small churches for that is discrimination. They need to follow Jesus Christ and the ways of Jesus Christ.
